Limited tickets will remain available to rent for the following 24hrs.
This event is designed for secondary schools and youth groups throughout Kerry by Kerry Filmmaker in Residence Mieke Vanmechelen in association with Kerry International Film Festival.
We are inviting secondary schools and youth groups to register a team of young film enthusiasts to view, discuss and respond to Un Film Dramatique by Eric Baudelaire.
Un Film Dramatiqu covers the four years in which Éric Baudelaire regularly met with students from the film group at Dora Maar middle school in Saint-Denis. Time for them to grow together, time to find the form of a film in which they would be the true subjects: its characters, its authors and its promise.
Each team will nominate one or two representatives, these reps will be invited to participate on the film panel (online) hosted by KIFF, moderated by Kerry Filmmaker in Residence Mieke Vanmechelen and Kenmare Youth Film Production members, Leone Wright and Patrick O’Connor Mason on Sunda October 18th at 2pm.
While the reps will sit on the film panel, there will be an opportunity for all group members to contribute following the discussion.
Following this each group will have an 8 week period (including extra online guidance from Mieke) to make a short film (3-10mis). The winning work will be screened at Kerry International Film Festival in 2021.
There are four stages:
1. Register your group HERE (information & webinars link will be emailed to you)
2. View the film (Thursday 15th October)
3. Attend the webinar (Sun 18th October)
